Lake Windermere
Although this is not a walk, I though I would show you some brilliant pictures of Lake Windermere basking in the brilliant winter sunshine.
Fairfield Horseshoe
One of the longest and best walks you can do in the Lake District is the Fairfield Horseshoe. You can either start at Rydal or Ambleside. We decided to camp at Rydal Hall ( a brilliant campsite by the way) and tackle the horseshoe from there.
The initial part of the walk is quite steep and it will take a bit out of you, however the gradient does ease somewhat.
The whole walk will take you about 8 hours, so be prepared and make sure you have plenty of refreshments with you.

You will be able to get views of both Lake Windermere and Coniston.
Grassmere
Here are some shots I took quite recently in Grassmere. The walk around the lake is quite low level and is suitable for anyone, and the views are amazing!
